OS Aqua is a national strategic project that will enable the development of an Open Sea Aquacultural Industry in Cyprus. The development of Open Sea Aquaculture will be highly beneficial to Cyprus due to its potential to significantly increase food production while minimizing its impact on the natural environment. OS Aqua will define maritime zones, design facilities, automatization, and monitoring systems, and conduct a financial sustainability study. OS Aqua will have socioeconomic benefits to Cyprus by contributing to the increase in food exports, attracting investments, opening new work positions, and ensuring social acceptance and environmental sustainability.
