Data sharing between OS AQUA and InterregMed project Blue Deal

OS Aqua and Interreg Med Blue Deal are joining forces for data sharing for better marine spatial planning.
Meeting between OS Aqua partners and the Cypriot partners of Interreg Med Blue Deal was held today. The aim of the meeting was the data sharing between the two projects and the mutual design of marine spatial map for usage in both aquaculture and energy sector. Among the suggested actions is the sharing of marine spatial plan map produce by OS Aqua partner, Geomatics Technologies.
Data sharing in this early point is crucial, since it will avoid the conflicts between Aqua culture and Blue Energy. In addition, better coordination in this stage between offshore industries will assist to the more efficient use of the marine environment around Cyprus.
